Apex Mech was a mech-type vehicle which was enabled using beta-era tech. The Apex Mech was the third mech designed and announced for Starbound. It allowed players to move, drill and attack in a mechanized suit. The techs that summoned beta mechs were removed from the game, while the mech vehicles themselves were left disabled in the game assets. Modular mechs were later implemented in update version 1.3.0.
