Drysap Dispenser is currently disabled from the game. Assets for this exist within the game files, but will not be encountered through normal gameplay.

Drysap Dispenser is a decorative object that was found in Floran Prisons before their removal. It is not currently found anywhere in the universe.

Beta Development

Beta-Release Canon

The following material was introduced in the Beta and has since been removed or altered. As such, it is no longer considered to be a part of Starbound canon.

In early development of Starbound, drysap was described in a number of codices as a substance that gave Floran increased strength and the ability to survive in hot, dry climates, but it also weakened their minds and drove them mad. While these codices were removed in the 1.0 rewrite of the lore, some of the properties of drysap remain canon in the object description.

Racial Descriptions


Apex :	I've heard talk of the dangers of this Drysap.
Avian :	The Floran Drysap is not unlike a type of tar Avians use in punishment.
Floran :	Drysssap. Greenfinger sssay it gateway sssap.
Glitch :	Hesitant. Knowing the effect Drysap has on Florans, it is tempting to destroy this.
Human :	Is this the Floran equivalent of a Slushie machine?
Hylotl :	Florans inject this foul concoction into themselves. Vile.
Novakid :	Some kinda Floran plant contraption.
