Gravity Mine Mech Arm is an arm part mech component that can be crafted using salvaged materials found in space encounters. The crafting recipe has a chance to be learned after finding an Experimental Mech Blueprint.

This arm component can be equipped on either or both mech arm slots.

Once learned it can be assembled using a Mech Part Crafting Table and equipped using a Mech Assembly Station.

While equipped, the player can use the Gravity Mine Mech Arm, while piloting their mech, to shoot a gravity mine once every 5 seconds. Each mine has a 10 second fuse. Triggering the arm while a mine that it deployed still exists detonates the mine immediately. When a mine detonates, it produces a gravity well at its location that lasts for 7 seconds and sucks in nearby players, monsters, NPCs, vehicles, and item drops. Enemy and neutral monsters and NPCs sucked into the gravity well are dealt 7 damage 10 times per second, incurring 70 DPS, or a total of 490 damage if stuck in the gravity well for the full duration. Players and allies pulled into a gravity well suffer no damage, but are still trapped by the well's gravitational pull.

In space, the gravity well is effectively inescapable, but enemies can continue to shoot at players from within it. Likewise, if a player is pulled into the same gravity well as an enemy, the enemy will inflict continuous contact damage on the player.

Like other mine-type mech weapons, the gravity mine is designed for use primarily in zero-gravity. Under gravitational conditions, mines fired will travel only a short distance from the weapon's muzzle before falling to the ground. When detonated in gravity, the mine's gravity well is very weak; it can pull in stationary or jumping entities but cannot stop entities from walking out of its influence.
