Hunting Spear is a Tier 1 thrown hunting weapon found in chests in Garden biomes in bundles of 10 and rarely in Floran Canyons in bundles of 1 or 5. Hunting Spears can also be crafted at a Foraging Table.

Hunting Spears have a base power of 22.5 and a 1.5-second delay between consecutive throws with the same hand, making them very powerful, but slow, early-game weapons with a base one-handed DPS of 15.

Monsters killed with the Hunting Spear have a greater chance to drop meat, including Raw Steak, Raw Poultry and Raw Ribs, and monster parts, such as Hardened Carapaces and Sharpened Claws.
