Rusty Land Mine is a wirable object found in microdungeons in decayed biomes. It can be purchased from some Deadbeat merchant tenants, which is the only way a player can obtain one. It is identical to the military land mine in all but appearance.

When interacted with or stepped on, the mine explodes, dealing indiscriminate fire damage and applying burning. It also ejects flames, which continue to do indiscriminate fire damage and apply burning for several seconds.

Land mines contain one output wiring node, which can be wired to the input of other wirable objects. While idle, this output node is off, but when the mine is triggered, the output node turns on just before the mine explodes. This mechanic can be used to trigger further actions, but it is not used in the base game.

Land mines can be destroyed safely using a mining tool such as the matter manipulator, but drop nothing.
