Fires a spread that's lethal at close range.

Shotgun is a two-handed procedurally generated weapon model.
It can be common, uncommon, and rare. Common Shotguns will shoot bullets, while uncommon and rare Shotguns shoot elemental plasma type projectiles.

Base Statistics

  • Base DPS: 9.0-10.0 health per second (Common), 9.5-10.5 health per second (Uncommon/Rare)
  • Energy Usage: 27-30 energy per second (Common), 28.5-31.5 energy per second (Uncommon/Rare)
  • Bullets Per Shot: 5-8
  • Fire Time: 0.4-1.25 seconds between attacks (0.8-2.5 attacks per second)
  • Knockback Power: 10-40 (weak to very strong knockback)

NPC-Exclusive Variants

Most NPCs, hostile or otherwise, do not use shotguns. Those that do use shotguns, such as some Bandits and Outlaw Crew members, use the NPC Shotgun, which has the following base statistics:

  • Rarity: Common
  • Base DPS: 9.5 health per second
  • Energy Usage: 19 energy per second
  • Bullets Per Shot: 5-8
  • Fire Time: 1.5 seconds between shots
  • Knockback Power: 10-40 (weak to very strong knockback)
  • Special Attack: None

Elemental Damage

Uncommon and Rare weapons have an assigned elemental damage type. Uncommon shotguns will only inflict elemental statuses with special attacks, but rare shotguns will inflict elemental statuses with all attacks.

Special Attacks

Common Only

  • Flashlight
    • Description: Shines a light in the direction of aim.
  • Sticky Bombs
    • Description: Fires projectiles which stick to enemies and terrain, then explode after a delay.
    • Base DPS: 10 health per second
    • Energy Usage: 50 energy per second
    • Fire Time: 1.0 seconds
    • Projectile Lifetime: 3.5-4.5 seconds
  • Burst Shot
    • Description: Fires a burst of shot powerful enough to pierce through multiple enemies within a short range.
    • Base Damage: 10 health
    • Knockback: 40 (very strong knockback)
    • Energy Usage: 50 energy
    • Cooldown: 2.0 seconds
  • Shrapnel Bomb
    • Description: Fires a projectile which explodes into a burst of shrapnel pieces which pierce through enemies and bounce off of surfaces.
    • Projectile Base Damage: 1 health
    • Energy Usage: 25 energy per second
    • Cooldown: 2.0 seconds
    • Shrapnel Count: 15
    • Shrapnel Base Damage: 0.625 health
    • Shrapnel Bounces: 2

All Rarities

  • Grenade Launcher
    • Description: Fires a grenade which explodes to deal damage in an area.
    • Base Damage: 9 health
    • Energy Usage: 25 energy
    • Fire Time: 2.0 seconds between grenades
