Powerfully strong to cover long distances.

Sniper Rifle is a two-handed procedurally generated rifle weapon model.
It can be common, uncommon, and rare. Common Sniper Rifles will shoot bullets, while uncommon and rare Sniper Rifles shoot elemental plasma type projectiles.

Base Statistics

  • Base DPS: 7.0-8.0 health per second (Common), 7.5-8.5 health per second (Uncommon/Rare)
  • Energy Usage: 21-24 energy per second (Common), 22.5-25.5 energy per second (Uncommon/Rare)
  • Fire Time: 0.5-1.5 seconds between attacks (approx. 0.7-2.0 attacks per second)
  • Knockback Power: 10-30 (weak to strong knockback)

NPC-Exclusive Variants

Most NPCs, hostile or otherwise, do not use sniper rifles. Those that do, such as some Bandits, use the NPC Sniper Rifle, which has the following base statistics:

  • Rarity: Common
  • Base DPS: 7.5 health per second
  • Energy Usage: 12 energy per second
  • Fire Time: 1.0 seconds between shots
  • Knockback Power: 10-30 (weak to strong knockback)
  • Special Attack: None

Elemental Damage

Uncommon and Rare weapons have an assigned elemental damage type. Uncommon sniper rifles inflict status effects only with special attacks, but rare sniper rifles inflict status effects with all attacks.

Special Attacks

Common Only

  • Bouncing Shot
    • Description: Fires special projectiles which bounce off of surfaces.
    • Damage Multiplier: 1.5x
    • Energy Usage: 40 energy per second
    • Number of Bounces: 3
  • Piercing Shot
    • Description: Fires special projectiles which pierce through enemies.
    • Damage Multiplier: 1.3x
    • Energy Usage: 40 energy per second
  • Explosive Shot
    • Description: Fires special projectiles which explode on contact.
    • Damage Multiplier: 1.75x
    • Energy Usage: 50 energy per second
  • Flashlight
    • Description: Shines a light in the direction of aim.

Uncommon/Rare Only

  • Enemy Bomb
    • Description: Fires a dart which inflicts an elemental death bomb status effect on an enemy, priming it to explode when it dies.
    • Energy Usage: 25 energy
    • Fire Time: 1.0 seconds between darts
    • Projectile Properties
      • Projectile Damage: 0 health
      • Projectile Knockback: 10 (weak knockback)
      • Projectile Explosion Damage: 10 health
    • Death Bomb Status Properties
      • Duration: 10 seconds
      • Effect: If target dies while this status is active, they explode, dealing 100% of max health as damage.
      • Special: Enemies with less than 5 max health or that have special status immunity cannot be inflicted with Death Bomb status.
  • Marked Shot
    • Description: While alt ability button is held down, acquires targets near aim cursor; when button is released, fires a projectile that ricochets through all marked targets if it hits one of them, ignoring any obstacles in it's path.
    • Base Damage: 8 health
    • Energy Usage: 37.5 energy per target marked
    • Cooldown: 1.0 seconds
    • Maximum Targets: 10
    • Maximum Acquisition Distance: 2 tiles from aim cursor
    • Special: Entities that cannot be damaged, or do not have a line of sight to the end barrel that is unobstructed by solid blocks cannot be targeted, but will stay targeted as long as alt ability is held down. Note that the first shot cannot pass through solid blocks, but since the end of the rifle can protrude past them, and the ricochet ignores obstructions, entities behind certain barriers can be targeted and immediately fired upon with the help of another targetable entity to which the player has an unobstructed line of sight.

All Rarities

  • Grenade Launcher
    • Description: Fires a grenade which explodes to deal damage in an area.
    • Base Damage: 9 health
    • Energy Usage: 25 energy
    • Fire Time: 2.0 seconds between grenades
