The Problem with Tentacles was a codex entry all human players had available immediately when starting a new game.

It was removed from the game when lore was rewritten in update cheerful giraffe.

The Problem with Tentacles

So, turns out little tentacle monsters are just as murderous and deadly as the huge one. Who knew? Should've settled for a kitten after all. Anyway, the rest of the crew is dead, which sucks, but no point dwelling on it.

Guess I'd better keep looking for a decent planet, then. One without tentacles. Or killer plant people. Or giant spiders. Or taxes. Yeah, it's time for mankind to claim the stars!
