Unobtainable Object

Ancient Plaque is an object unobtainable by players through normal means. This item's information is present in the game files, but not intended by developers to be in players' possession.

Ancient Plaque is found in a secret room in the Erchius Mining Facility after activating Secret Symbol 1 and Secret Symbol 2 with two hidden levers.

Getting into the room requires the Morphball tech. However, as of Spirited Giraffe, you can get in by using Energy Dash while crouching.

The runes on the plaque are in the ancient language of the Ark.

The decoded message reads:

"IT WILL RETURN"

There is also a tentacle eye made out of ancient blocks below the room, partially seen when using the admin /fullbright command.
