Given the importance of the whole message, why did the Ancients choose to not only split it into 6 parts but place the individual pieces where only very daring and well-armed individuals could get to it? It takes a great deal of effort even to get to the point one can afford a key to open the gate let alone survive the ordeal. What was the purpose of this 'filtering'?
