I feel like the race-specific Player Craftable weapons should be broken out into separate categories. Feel free to revert any changes I try there if they're not good. --CyborgHobbit (talk) 10:13, 17 August 2016 (EDT)

Black Market Melee Weapons?

Okay, so... you can also obtain the melee weapons from the 1.4 update's Gangs. I've currently got the "Makeshift Skullbasher" (baseball bat) and the "Home-made Bodyhitter" (winged staff, kinda Cardcaptor Sakura-y?). I'm not sure if these are procedural or what; they're listed as "Broadsword" in the tooltip and seem to have the more generic secondary attacks. So... eh? --MSipher (talk) 08:03, 19 June 2019 (BST)

Firstly, the blurb was meant to indicate that these weapons are obtainable from the new Gangs, so if that's not clear it needs to be edited. Thanks for the heads-up on that.
These weapons' descriptions describe them as "popular weapons on the black market", so I went for that as a way to distinguish them from the Peacekeeper weapons they absolutely are not. I don't think they have an official name, but I can't exactly call them "Random Unique Weapons You Can't Upgrade for Some Reason" either. I can't call them "Neo Arms" because the Neo Magnum is obtained differently.
The main problem is that a bunch of new stuff went undeclared in the patch notes and no pages have been uploaded for them, so everything has to be found and filed unofficially. If you have new undocumented weapons that need a page and are 100% sure they're vanilla content, you may just need to make the page from scratch. Seems to me that these weapons were meant to be a nice secret to find, but that's no good to an updated wiki! --Velotican (talk) 17:09, 19 June 2019 (BST)
After some digging in the assets, it looks like the weapons you mentioned are procedurally generated from a new weapon creation pool, so you may be better off treating them as a different thing entirely. The BMAs are, however, static weapons. --Velotican (talk) 17:24, 19 June 2019 (BST)
Well, as I just got my second bat with a whole new name and secondary attack, it does seem these are procedural. But given how FUN these are just to look at and are rare drops, I feel there maybe oughtta be SOME attention called to them somewhere. Where 'zactly I'm not sure. --MSipher (talk) 08:51, 22 June 2019 (BST)
I think I've got it. Gang Broadsword --Velotican (talk) 19:18, 23 June 2019 (BST)
