Booster Flame is an object unobtainable by players through normal means. This item's information is present in the game files, but not intended by developers to be in players' possession. |
Booster flames can be seen on every ship. There are three size variations: bigboosterflame, boosterflame, and smallboosterflame. The small booster flame is the variant mounted on the top and bottom of ships, while the other two sizes provide rear-mounted thrust.
There are racial variants of these objects, sometimes multiple variations per race, but they merely move the image positioning a few pixels one way or the other to match the specific geometry of the racial ships.
There are also variations of the booster flame that can cause 100 contact damage with very strong knockback, used in space encounters:

- encounterboosterflamehuman - a twin pair of booster flames
- encountersmallboosterflame - dorsal/ventral three-block variant
- encountersmallboosterflame2 - dorsal/ventral four-block variant (three blocks wide but offset one half block)
This wiki erroneously lists these objects as "printable" because they do not have the "printable" : false attribute in their object definitions. However, they do have the "scannable" : false attribute, which means that they cannot be scanned, and therefore cannot be printed.
