Damage Per Shot:5
Rate of Fire:5.6
Energy Per Shot:24
The design was submitted by a solarium tier pre-order backer, who was granted the perk of designing a weapon to be included in the game.
The weapon's long description reads as follows: "I think it's looking at me."
When the primary fire mode is used, the eyes open and a cascade of bouncing eyeballs spread from it in bursts of 2 at a time (time between projectiles in a burst is 0.075 seconds) and 0.36 seconds of delay between the first shots of consecutive bursts. They'll damage anything they hit, and self destruct after a few bounces.
The special secondary fire, which drains 24 energy per second, will, after two seconds of pointing at your target, begin to deal damage to it once every 0.5 seconds and occasionally inflicting a 0.75-second stun to it. The damage starts at 50% of projectile damage and scales up to a maximum of 200% of projectile damage over a period of 3 seconds. However, breaking line of sight or running out of energy will cancel the effect, forcing one to try again.
- While the Evil Eye has a target in its secondary fire mode, the player will automatically aim at the target, making this ability useful for times when one needs to focus on dodging, or can't hit a small or fast enemy with conventional weaponry.
- The secondary attack's damaging effect hits all enemies in the weapon's firing cone, and has a longer range than it seems.
