Removed: No Longer Available Needler was removed from the game files, and is no longer obtainable. It was included as placeholder content during early access, and replaced before full release

The Floran Needler was a procedurally generated weapon model. It was wielded by the guards in Floran Villages and the snipers of the Ceremonial Hunting Caverns until it was removed in Cheerful Giraffe, and replaced with the NPC Floran Assault Rifle.

It functioned the same as normal assault rifles, but they all fired a unique projectile that resembled a brown thorn and only came in one appearance.

This weapon had two counterparts; the randomly-found Stinger Gun which fired poisonous projectiles, and the Thorny Needler which was identical, but crafted instead of looted.

Trivia

• The Needler was most likely inspired by the needler from Halo. The original needler featured small pointy crystals sticking out of it's back in an angle, which is very similar to the design of the floran needler. Also, the overall structure of the weapon bears slight similarities.
