Talk:Rusty Hatch

Contrary to a recent edit, the Rusty Hatch does not appear in the Penguin Weaponry Testing Site. The user likely found the record for `penguinbasedoor` in the `penguinmission2.dungeon` file. That is the only place in the Starbound assets in which that name directly appears. However, Starbound developers commonly added such records in the PNG-based `.dungeon` files without actually placing them in the PNG files, as happened in this case. To determine whether an object actually appears in a PNG-based dungeon, you have to parse the PNG files and search for the specific color associated with the object in the `.dungeon` file. In this case, you will not find the color because the object was never placed.

This object is actually used in vanilla Starbound. It is used in Tiled-based dungeons, so its object name is not directly used to reference the object, hence those instances won't be found in a simple text search. If you are able to parse the Tiled files, you will see that `penguinbasedoor` is used in `apexmission1` (the Miniknog Stronghold), `safehouse_2` (a mostly underground bounty microdungeon), and `boat_2` (a damaged boat, found during ocean world bounties).
