Talk:Shield Generator
While its true that the shield generator protects "the blocks around it" it specifically only protects blocks belonging to the City. If you turn the generator off, place a block anywhere in the city, and turn the generator on again, its behavior changes. The location in which you've placed a block is no longer protected while the generator is on. Blocks can be placed, and broken here regardless of the generator's status.
Page Breaks When Edited, Please Be Careful.
The last revision by FairyFluff broke the data on this page completely, this isn't their fault but instead a flaw with how the data templates work that we unfortunately cannot fix, only work around. Luckily undoing that edit fixed it and restored the data but when editing this page PLEASE check to see if your revision broke the page and undo it if it did, and use "edit" instead of "edit source".
- Agreed, in general people should not use Edit Source when Edit is available. I have found though that sometimes simply saving two or three "Edits" without making any changes will cause the wiki engine to fix the page, so it's worth trying that before reverting an otherwise good edit. (I'm guessing that there is some post-processing step after the page is saved that's flaky, and trying it 2 or 3 times sometimes fixes things.) Rl.starbound (talk) 21:38, 17 July 2025 (UTC)
