When consumed, it heals a total of 50 HP over 1 sec. It's useful because unlike food it doesn't apply Full Belly debuff, so it can be used in quicker succession.

Due to their great ease of crafting, Bandages can be a viable alternative to Nanowrap Bandages even in endgame.
