Plasma Assault Rifle
A state-of-the-art assault rifle hardened for use in extreme environments.
The weapon's primary attack shoots a three-shot burst of unique plasma projectiles towards the cursor that leave a visible trail of blue particles in a thin line. These shots will bounce off of surfaces once or twice each, but will instantly dissipate if they hit an enemy. The primary fire has a fire time of 0.3 seconds (~3.33 shots per second on average), a burst time (time between consecutive shots in a burst) of 0.1 seconds, a drain of 30 energy per second, and a base DPS of 36.75; this produces a burst time of 0.9 seconds (~1.11 three-bursts per second), a base shot damage of 11.025, and an energy drain per burst of 27.
The weapon's secondary attack, internally called Sticky Plasma Mines, consumes 52.5 energy to shoot three balls of sticky plasma toward the cursor at a speed of 60 tiles per second. On collision with enemies (or after 4 seconds have passed), these balls explode for 17.5 base damage each. This ability is used every 1.5 seconds while the alt fire key is held down and energy is not yet depleted.
Both the primary fire's lasers and secondary fire's sticky plasma balls will emit bright blue light in dark areas. The pulsating blue line on the side of the rifle will also glow in dark areas, but emit no light itself.
