Hi-tech Turret is currently disabled from the game. Assets for this exist within the game files, but will not be encountered through normal gameplay.

Hi-tech Turret is a sentry object that was found in Apex Research Labs. It operated like a Defense Turret, except it targeted players and pets and NPCs friendly to players, while ignoring monsters and NPCs hostile to players. It is not used in any dungeon that is currently in the game.

Known Bug
	Hi-tech Turret is currently in a broken state. Spawning it via admin commands and then placing it in a world causes a stack trace to be written into the Starbound log, and the turret sits motionless.

Racial Descriptions


Apex :	Always ready to fire.
Avian :	I must move like the wind to remain unseen by this turret.
Floran :	Such bright lasersss. Don't want to be in their sssights.
Glitch :	Determined. I must not become the target.
Human :	An automated security gun. Nasty piece of work.
Hylotl :	A reminder of the extreme lengths the some will go to.
Novakid :	An automated gun has no soul to keep in it check.
