Tech chests are a container type, not to be confused with High-Tech Chests, come in four variants, each associated with a higher tiered metal than the previous level. All Tech Chests have the description of A chest with bright glowing markings throughout.; identical to the High-Tech Chests.

Race descriptions for most of these chests are:

Apex:	A chest for storing tech.
Avian:	A solid tech chest. It glows.
Floran:	Glowy box hold Floran thingsss.
Glitch:	Resolute. I endeavour to fill this chest.
Human:	A basic, dependable tech chest.
Hylotl:	A chest in which I can store tech.
