Electro Baton is a Tier 4 Legendary Shortsword type Unique Weapon found as treasure in space stations and small ship microdungeons in space.

Being a shortsword, the Electro Baton only requires one hand to be held, allowing players to hold two at once, or hold an Electro Baton and something else (a shield, bandages, etc) in their other hand. This, combined with its overhead swing and Electrified status effect, makes it arguably the best 1-handed sword in the game, and inarguably the one-handed weapon with the highest DPS when upgraded. A player using two upgraded Electro Batons will achieve higher DPS than a player using Empowerment on a Protector's Broadsword, except on an electric-resistant enemy, and without the energy cost.

Unique to other shortswords, the Electro Baton has a different one-two combo; instead of a horizontal slash and a stab, this weapon features a horizontal slash and then an overhead slash, similarly to a broadsword. This grants it more flexibility in combat than other shortswords, as the overhead swing has greater coverage than the thrust attack other shortswords have. Damage distribution (1x on first hit, 1.4x on second hit) remains the same.

The Electro Baton has a fire time of 0.8 seconds (1.25 1x-damage swings per second) and a base DPS of 18.75, producing a base 1x-damage swing power of 15. Strikes with this weapon deal electric damage and inflict Electrified on victims.

When upgraded at a Weapon Upgrade Anvil, base DPS rises to 26.25, producing a new base 1x-damage swing power of 21. In addition, the Electro Baton takes on a new appearance, shown below.
