Fires arrows coated in deadly poison. |
Poison Bow is a Tier 2 unique bow which can be found in chests. Uniquely, it fires an arrow that deals physical damage and applies poison to targets, regardless of the bow's charge, represented by the arrows dribbling green particles as they fly. In all other respects, the Poison Bow is very similar to the Tungsten Hunting Bow, being classified as a hunting weapon and having similar stats and abilities. However, it shares some sprites with the Compound Bow. The weapon model itself, though somewhat resembling that of the Compound Bow, has some noticeable differences that make it unique.
Like all other bows, the Hunting Bow's left-hand ability is Bow Shot. For maximum damage, release the left-hand button while the shot is fully charged, indicated by the bow flashing white for a split-second. Fully charged arrows fired from a Poison Bow do not have unique visuals to distinguish them from partially charged arrows, but they still have greater flight speed and damage like fully charged arrows fired from other bows. Fully-charged arrows fired from the Poison Bow deal 12.1875 base damage.
Like all other hunting bows, pressing and holding the secondary fire button will charge up a three-arrow barrage which, when the secondary fire button is released, will be launched in a high arc and pass through the cursor's location at the time of release. Unlike with other bows, Poison Bow's Zen Shot arrow splits after 0.2 seconds of flight into 3 arrows, two of them deviating from the original trajectory by 2 degrees in each direction (normally, the split occurs after 1 second of flight, and the angular deviation in each direction is 10 degrees). Each of these arrows has a base power at full charge of 12.1875.
When upgraded at a Weapon Upgrade Anvil to tier 6, the damage of fully-charged arrows, whether fired using Bow Shot or Zen Shot, increases to a base power of 28.4375. Additionally, the Poison Bow's appearance changes to the one shown below.
Apart from the addition of a gold star to the name, no other changes occur as a result of the upgrade.
