Docking Field (Small) is an object unobtainable by players through normal means. This item's information is present in the game files, but not intended by developers to be in players' possession.

Docking Field (Small) is a special object found in player-managed space stations and some space encounters. It is a smaller version of Docking Field. It provides a visual barrier separating a region of gravity and atmosphere from the weightlessness and vacuum of space. This effect is purely cosmetic, because air and gravity are controlled by the dungeon id assigned to each block in a world, not by objects.

One actual effect provided by the docking field is a barrier through which NPCs and non-ghost monsters will not pass, although they can fire ranged attacks through the field. Additionally, docking fields operate similarly to proximity detectors, and have an output wiring node that activates when an entity comes into contact with the field, however no docking fields in the unmodded game make use of this.
