The Bone Trophy

The Bone Trophy is the Floran artifact found at the end of the Ceremonial Hunting Caverns. It was gifted to the Floran by the Cultivator in hopes that they may one day unite with the other races and use the artifacts to unseal the Monolith Gate and defeat The Ruin.

The Bone Trophy is used as the award given to winners of "The Hunt", an ancient ceremonial hunting competition established by Greenfinger Idamta. The Hunt is held in the Ceremonial Hunting Caverns, where the Player needs to defeat an Ixodoom with the help of Nuru to win the artifact.

Though awarded to the champion of every Hunt, the artifact seemingly must be returned to be awarded in the next year's Hunt. In its place, winners of The Hunt seem to keep other things as more permanent trophies, such as their own spear or an Ixodoom's spinneret. It is unknown what happens to these traditions after The Bone Trophy is used to unseal the Monolith Gate, as the artifact is probably lost forever.

Notably, the bone crown seen on the Greenfinger's Headdress resembles the artifact, possibly indicating some sort of connection between the two. It's possible that The Bone Trophy has become a symbol of great importance or courage amongst the entirety of the Floran race, even for those not likely to be participating in The Hunt, such as Greenfingers.
