Apex Flag is a decorative object available in the basic crafting menu to all Apex characters immediately after beginning the game. Each race has a unique flag available. Prior to Version 1.4.0 the Apex flag was the only flag, of the seven racial flags, that could be found in the Starbound universe without being placed by a player. It was (and is still) found on both ends of Apex Rebel Camps.

Flags act as teleporter bookmarks. Once placed, interacting with a flag opens the bookmark window and the location can be saved. Flags do not allow the player to teleport to other bookmarks or their ship, they can only be teleported to from either the ship or a full size teleportation pad.

Racial Descriptions


Apex :	An Apex flag. I can use this as a waypoint for teleportation.
Avian :	This Apex flag can be bookmarked as a destination for my ship teleporter.
Floran :	Apex flag makess good point to teleport back to ussing teleporter!
Glitch :	Observant. A small locator module attached to this Apex flag allows it to be bookmarked for teleportation.
Human :	This Apex flag can be saved as a location for my teleporter. Then I can return to it any time.
Hylotl :	This Apex flag can act as a way point, enabling me to return to this point using a teleporter.
Novakid :	I can bookmark this Apex flag for quick teleportin'.
