Tutorial VIII: Ups And Downs was removed from the game files, and is no longer obtainable. |
It's finally time for me to obtain 20 core fragments. I can obtain them deep underground near the planet's core. With those S.A.I.L should be able to fix the ship's thrusters.

Tutorial VIII: Ups And Downs was the last in a series of tutorial quests which was given after completing Tutorial VII: Forging Ahead.
It required the player to mine 20 Core Fragments, which could be found deep underground near the center of planets.
After completing this last tutorial quest, players were be able to turn in to their Ship's computer to repair the FTL drive, completing their racial starter quest and enabling their ship to travel to more distant systems.
This quest was removed from the game when the game's story was overhauled in update cheerful giraffe.
