Avian Airship
An Avian Airship is an Avian styled flying dungeon. It's identified by a large chain leading up to the sky from its anchor. By building a tower next to the chain or placing platforms directly on the chain, players can ascend to the dungeon.
You can buy procedurally generated guns from the quartermaster, one of two Avian merchants on the ship, located in the upper deck.
Be wary of the spinning propellers on the top of the ship's masts, as they cause immense damage and can kill the player almost instantly. Also, be wary of falling off the ship, as the drop to the ground below is usually lethal.
These dungeons can be found on any planet type aside from moons, any ocean worlds (including magma, arctic, and toxic), or garden planets. They are more likely to appear on jungle planets than any other planet type.

Bugs
Due to a known issue with the Starbound path-finding API, NPCs are not able to ascend the rear deck of the airship. Several NPCs are spawned onto this deck, but if (or rather, when) they jump down to interact with other crew or objects, they won't be able to jump back up. The affected NPCs include the quartermaster, which can be a problem, because that NPC must return to their spawn point atop the rear deck before they can offer their merchant services to players.
This issue can be fixed by adding wooden platforms as shown in the following image. Take care while placing the platforms, because if you make a mistake and have to pick them back up, you will trigger the stealing game mechanic.
Trivia
- This dungeons styling has been compared to the airships in Super Mario Brothers 3.

The name used by the placedungeon command is avianairship, with the usual warning that placing dungeons in worlds using the admin command will overwrite any existing features of the world, and may produce jarring discontinuities.
