Lilodon is a unique monster found in arctic, ocean, snow and tundra biomes. It can also be found in Ice Caves and underground layers 0c, 3c and 5c, and in ice Ancient Vaults.
When a Lilodon detects the player, it begins to give chase, leaping into the player if it gets close enough.
This monster has a weakness (+50% damage taken) to Electric damage and a resistance (-50% damage taken) to Ice damage. Additionally, it cannot be inflicted with Frost.
Rare Form
A rare elemental variant of this monster can be found on bounty missions, and has a very small chance to appear in the wild. It has an identical drop pool, base stats, and spawn area, but applies the status effect burning when touched. This variant leaps higher constantly when agrro'd.
This form can also be captured, and when caught will complete an entry in the Rare Pets collection.

- The name Lilodon is likely a spoof of “Megalodon” and other similar names for shark species.
- There is an unused animation in the lilodon spritesheet that indicates that it was supposed to be able to "swim" through the ground.
