Smoglin are a unique monster found in alien, savannah, magma, midnight, decayed and volcanic biomes as well as in Underground 3a and fire Ancient Vaults.
They slowly release a smoke cloud when provoked that deals 9 base fire damage and gives the player the burning effect.
This monster has a weakness (+50% damage taken) to Ice damage and a resistance (-50% damage taken) to Fire damage. Additionally, it cannot be inflicted with Burning.
Rare Form
A rare elemental variant of this monster can be found on bounty missions, and has a very small chance to appear in the wild. It has an identical drop pool, base stats, and spawn area, but applies the poisoned status effect when touched. This variant spits it's toxic gas cloud from a further distance which travels further and faster. It also takes much less time to charge it's attack than the standard variant.
This form can also be captured, and when caught will complete an entry in the Rare Pets collection.
